2011 Season Fees

Each swimmer is required to register with the City of Laurel. Fees are as follows. Registration will begin
on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, during evaulation of new members.

Resident $55.00
Non Resident $60.00
Family Rate (3 or more children)
Resident $110.00
Non Resident $120.00

In addition, each family is required to register with the team. The fee is $35.00 per family. Checks can be
written to LCST.

Practices: 

Beginning Wednesday, June 1, 2011, and held Monday through Thursday and Saturday's until school dismisses (weather permitting):

Monday - Thursday
Level I:     6:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Level II:    6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Level III:   7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Saturday
Level I:     9:00 am to 9:30 am
Level II:    9:30 am to 10:30 am
Level III:   10:30 am to 11:45 am

Saturday, June 11, 2011, there will be time trials beginning at 9:00 am, until 11:00 am.  This will run like a swim meet and we will need volunteers to time swimmers. 

Morning practices will begin after Howard County Public Schools dismiss, beginning on Thursday, June 23, 2011:

Monday - Friday
Level I:     9:00 am to 9:30 am
Level II:    8:00 am to 9:15 am
Level III:   7:00 am to 8:15 am

Note: Swimmers MUST attend at least 3 morning practices during the week to be eligible to swim in that Saturday's meet.

Evening Clinics will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, beginning the week of June 17, 2011, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Typically, Tuesday night clinic's will be used to address an disqualifications from the previous weekend's meet. However, each clinic's focus will be subject to what the coaches feel are areas of weakness.

Car pooling to practice is always encouraged.

Pee Wee Swimmers:

Pee Wee swimmers will meet only once a week on Fridays from 8:45 am to 9:15 am. 

The Pee Wee swim team is meant for developing swimmers (usually siblings of existing members)
under the age of 8. They must currently be enrolled in swim lessons through the City of Laurel and on the cusp of being able to swim 25 meters by themselves. 

At each Saturday meet there will be a special event for Pee Wee swimmers.  They will be allowed to
have an adult in the water to offer assistance if needed.  

If your child has little to no skills at swimming they must enroll in swim lessons.

Swim Meets:

Swim meets are held on Saturday mornings beginning June 18 through July 16, 2011 and start promptly at 8:00 am. 

The schedule of home versus away meets will be posted under the calendar of events.

Divisionals (swim meet where the top swimmers compete against other top swimmers in our division only) will be on July 23, 2011, at Prince Georges Pool in Mt. Rainer, MD. Coaches will notify swimmers if they are swimming.

All Stars (swim meet where the top swimmers from the league compete against each other) will be July 30, 2011, at Whitehall Pool and Tennis Club in Bowie, MD. Coaches will notify swimmers if they are swimming.

Swim Team Suits:

Cy's Swimwear of Catonsville will be at our Tuesday, June 14, 2011, practice to allow swimmers to try on and purchase suits and other swim team equipment.  They may provide us with a sizing chart for anyone who is unable to attend.
